Paddle into the adventure of a lifetime on our guided kayaking trips in Washington’s San Juan Islands.

Protected waters, orca whales, seals and porpoises, sheltered coves, and some of the best sunshine in the Pacific Northwest all add up to a sea kayaking adventure aboard the David B. In partnership with Elakah Expeditions, we are offering multi-day kayaking trips in the San Juan Islands.

Why hassle with ferry or van rides from a B&B? Why bother renting and transporting a kayak? Let us arrange the details for you. A guided paddling trip aboard the David B gives you the mothership experience. Let us take you directly to the paddle sites. You won't start your day with wet feet from a beach launch, because we'll put you in the kayak right off the side of the David B. Relish the day without worries, and come back on board to a hot shower, appetizers and drinks. Let us prepare you a gourmet meal, and later, be rocked to sleep in your luxurious stateroom while the boat is anchored in a secluded bay.

Each morning we will send you off with one of the Elakah Expeditions guides. Under their watchful lead you'll explore a new area each day. On most days your guide will bring lunch along for a picnic on a quiet beach or occasionally you'll meet the boat mid-day for lunch. In the late afternoon you'll meet the David B to relax for the evening.

All of the sea kayak equipment, meals and, of course, guides are included. No kayaking experience necessary, the trips are open to adventurous people of all abilities, and because of the small group size we can easily guide guests with different paddling abilities.

We offer three and four-day kayak mothership cruises in the San Juan Islands. Click here to see the full schedule.

The dates for the guided paddling trips don't work out for you? We carry the kayaks on board all our trips, and you’ll have time to explore new inlets and bays each afternoon, after we are anchored for the day.
