Bellingham International Airport
In Bellingham, you can board the David B at our slip in Squalicum Harbor near Gate 5.
- From Roeder Avenue, turn into Squalicum Harbor at the Coho Way Entrance.
- At the second stop sign, turn left onto South Harbor Loop Drive. Go approximately 0.1 mile, past the public restrooms, and turn right into the parking area. Commercial fishermen often will have their nets stored here. (If you reach the Squalicum Boathouse at Zuanich Point Park before turning right, you’ve gone too far.)
- Continue SW within the parking lot until you can see Bellingham Bay. There are some large green dumpsters that are very obvious on the right.
- There is a ramp down to the docks near the dumpsters. Look for the small “Gate 5” sign on the pole to the left of the ramp. There are often blue dock carts available at the top of the ramp if you need one for your luggage.
- Walk down the ramp to the float docks, take a left at the bottom of the ramp and continue along that float until it bends to the right and you come to the David B slip on the right.
- Gate 5 access may be restricted outside the hours of 8am to 5pm.
- Please call Christine at 360-201-8184 or Jeffrey at 360-201-8091 for us to meet you at the gate if it is locked or if you get lost.
Parking in Squalicum Harbor
- Parking in Squalicum Harbor is free.

- The marina is about a mile from the downtown area to Bar Harbor, which is long way to walk with luggage, so we usually recommend a taxi.
- Tell the taxi driver that you are going to Bar Harbor Ramp #2.
- From the end of the pier where the taxi drops you off, you should be able to see the David B’s green and white pennant flying from our mast.
- Head down the, often, very steep ramp to the boat.
