Inside Passage Expeditions
Come with us through the calm waters of the Inside Passage aboard the David B. We offer three very different expedition style adventure cruises in the Inside Passage. The
Canadian Inside Passage cruises are 12-day vacations that run the 690 miles between Bellingham, Washington and Ketchikan, Alaska. Our 7-day Alaska Inside Passage cruises go between Ketchikan and Juneau.
Our newest Inside Passage expedition cruise, The Southern Inside Passage is an 12-day round trip adventure cruise out of Bellingham, Washington and explores the many back channels from the Gulf Islands to the Broughton Archipelago and back down into the San Juan Islands.
Each small ship adventure cruise takes you through the Inside Passage on a unique expedition to see and experience lesser known backwater channels. We have the flexibility to visit new and different locations that large cruise ship companies don’t. A few of the potential highlights of cruising the Inside Passage, aboard the small ship David B, include watching hundreds of waterfalls cascading into calm deep-water fjords; visiting an abandoned cannery or time permitting, taking a side trip to see ancient petroglyphs and long gone fishing villages. More highlights for your adventure include watching for orca whales, humpback whales, porpoises, dolphins, seals and sea lions. Each night when we drop the anchor you will be treated to a wilderness experience where peace and quiet are interrupted only by the high whistling call of bald eagles and the cry of gulls.
Not only are our cruises a feast for your eyes and ears, but they are also an adventure for your taste buds. All of your meals aboard the David B are expertly prepared on the boat’s wood cook stove, by the ship’s chef, Christine Smith. Not only will your senses be filled with the wonder and beauty of this unique landscape, but they will also be treated to the taste and smells of fresh-baked sourdough bread and a seemingly unlimited presentation of new creations from the galley to savor. Visit our From the Galley page for a sampling of Christine’s creations.

When the young couple stepped aboard the neglected vessel, her sturdy work-boat style captured their hearts with an ageless beauty that only the young dreamers could see...
